Beginning Again
Hi, I’m Ellie — a mom, therapist, and neurodivergent human learning to navigate life with grief, anxiety, and all the messy realities of parenting. Losing my son changed everything for me. Yet even in the deepest grief, daily life continued, school schedules, appointments, household chaos, and the familiar hum of anxiety carried on.
I started this blog to share reflections on loss, neurodivergence, and healing, not to give advice or clinical guidance, but to offer honest insights and connection. My hope is that this space helps other parents, especially moms, feel seen, understood, and a little less alone in their own journeys.
Fourteen years after my son’s passing, I continue to learn how grief evolves over time. I write to give language to what often feels invisible: the quiet, enduring presence of loss that shapes how we move through the world.
Alongside grief, I also live with anxiety and a neurodivergent mind. These parts of me make everyday tasks, parenting, and even self-care challenging at times, but they also bring creativity, depth, and an ability to notice small joys amid the chaos.
Being a mom while grieving and managing anxiety is complex. Some days I feel stretched thin; other days I feel deep gratitude and connection. Through writing, I hope to normalize these experiences and offer gentle validation for others navigating similar terrain.
Thank you for being here and for holding space with me. If you’re a parent living with grief, anxiety, or neurodivergence, please know you’re not alone. My hope is that this blog becomes a place of understanding, compassion, and small moments of hope along the way.
